KDEC Mini-Grants: Requests for Proposals
The Executive Board of KDEC is pleased to announce a mini-grant
competition for programs servicing young children with disabilities and
their families. Proposed
projects must focus on ways to improve services.
- Three Grants of $500 each will be awarded
- Proposals must be postmarked by June 20, 2008.
- Funds will be distributed after July 1, 2008
Proposals must include:
- Rationale or need for the funds
- Goals and objectives of the project and
a timeline
- Benefits of the project for children and families
- Who will be involved
ion the project; and what other resources will be used
- Budget information
showing how funds will be used
- Plan for measurement and evaluation of
project success
- Assurance that project information will be disseminated
in the KDEC Spring 2009 newsletter and at the KDEC conference so a
short summary will be sent to the newsletter editor by June 30, 2009
and a short presentation will be made at the KDEC conference for the next
year (Spring, 2010)
- Assurance that a final report project will be provided
to KDEC by June 30, 2009.
- Letters of support or commitment as needed
(appendix).
At least one individual involved in the mini-grant proposal and the implementation
of the project must be a current member of KDEC.
Three paper copies of each mini-grant proposal (no longer than 6 pages)
should be sent by June 20, 2008 to:
